Kelly Clarkson’s song of the summer got an extra dose of sunshine thanks to a beach club-ready remix from David Guetta.
Clarkson unveiled a new version of “Favourite Kind of High” on Wednesday (May 24), along with a lyric video featuring an adorable cameo. In a technicolor visualizer, the singer’s eight-year-old daughter River Rose takes Guetta’s place behind the DJ stand, joining him on a turntable with one hand on his headphones.
Clarkson shares Rivera with ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, as well as their seven-year-old son, Remy Alexander.
“You’re my favorite kind of high / Running through me like fire / And I need you to know / I say I won’t but I do / When it comes to loving you / My There’s no control,” with Clarkson belting out the chorus in the chorus.
“Favourite Kind of High” follows the double singles “Mine” and “Me” from Superstar’s upcoming tenth studio album, chemistryon June 23 through Atlantic Records.
“Chemistry with someone is an incredible and overwhelming feeling. It seems like you don’t have a choice in the matter,” Clarkson said of the project in a press statement. “You’re just drawn to each other. This can be good and bad. This album takes you down every road that chemistry can take you down.
