
If you were having trouble accessing iMessage earlier today, you weren’t alone. The tech giant’s support page states that iMessage is now fully operational again after facing some issues. The page previously said “users may be unable to send or download attachments in iMessage.”
According to third-party web monitoring service Downdetector, users were also having trouble sending and receiving messages. It appears the issues started around 8:50AM PT / 11:50AM ET.
Apple did not respond to TechCrunch’s request for comment regarding the issues. It is unknown what caused the partial outage. Apple’s other online services, such as iCloud and the App Store, were not affected by today’s outage. However, the company’s support page suggests that some users have also experienced issues with Apple’s Photos app. These issues also seem to be getting resolved.
